Okada Manila GGR Down For Third Quarter On-Year

Casino gross gaming revenue (GGR) at Philippine capital Okada Manila Casino Resort (pictured) fell 21.8% year-over-year in the second quarter, according to a filing on Friday by its organizers Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc.

Those GGRs for the three months ended June 30 were slightly below PHP 8.84 billion ($151.3 million) compared to PHP 11.29 billion in the same period last year. This was a slight quarter-on-quarter increase compared to PHP 8.78 billion in the January-March period.

According to company information, Okada Manila's quarterly GGR has been decreasing year-over-year since the end of the third quarter of last year. The property, which recorded a 29.7% year-over-year increase in GGR from July to September 2023, recorded 11.2% and 24.1% declines in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, respectively.

In the first half of 2024, Okada Manila's GGR was 17.61 billion PHP, down 23.0% year-over-year.

The second-quarter GGR tally put VIP sales down 34.5% year-over-year to 2.99 billion PHP. However, VIP sales were up 12.2% quarter-over-quarter.

In the three months to June 30, sales at the public market table were 2.97 billion PHP, down 3.4% year-on-year and flat compared to the previous quarter.

Game consoles posted 2.97 billion PHP in revenue, down 21.8% from a year ago, with a quarter-over-quarter decline of 8.2%.

Non-gaming sales in the second quarter rose 9.7% year-over-year to about 1 billion PHP. On a quarter-over-quarter basis, those sales were up 3.4%.

Okada Manila's net income from interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization sectors (EBITDA) fell 30.0% year-over-year to 2.15 billion PHP in the second quarter. These revenues were down 8.0% quarter-over-quarter. 슬롯사이트 순위

Okada Manila welcomed approximately 1.45 million visitors in the second quarter. That's an increase of approximately 25,000 visitors compared to the same period last year. The accommodation had approximately 1.46 million visitors in the first quarter of 2024.

Tiger Resorts is an affiliate of the Japanese conglomerate Universal Entertainment.

Earlier this month, Tiger Resorts announced it was ending the contract period with PH Resorts Group Holdings, which the Okada Manila operator was able to invest in the Emerald Bay Casino Resort project located in Mactan, Cebu.
